A while back I asked you all what to do to fix my H that needed choke to run. It also surged at the mid rpm ranges. The reply I got was to rebuild the carb. It worked. When I got in the carb it wasn't really that dirty. However, the tiny hole in the brass piece was plugged solid. It was probably the only thing wrong with the carb, but since I ordered a complete carb kit from C&G, I put in all the new parts after soaking overnight in a cleaner kit. When I reinstalled the carb, it started after three revolutions without choke and purred like a kitten. However, I currently have the high speed screw set at 2 3/4 turns and the low speed screw at 1 1/2. Before the rebuild, it did not smoke at all. Now, it smokes when you throttle up and down, but clears up pretty good. The smoke is more white but I do see some black when I throttle up quickly. It also doesn't seem to respond as quickly as I think it should but this is my novice opinion. How do I adjust the settings from here to reduce the smoke. Is some smoking always present? Thanks for your help. Cory
