Dad had a gas 460 and pulled a pull type 3x16 in NE Iowa. We had what was locally called "timber soil" and no real hills. Dad always had a lot of cattle and after several years of manure on the ground, it was very mellow and plowed easy. Also pulled an 11 1/2' Kewanee disc with the 460. Might not be able to pull that big in heavy clay.
