There is another option too. I am going to try it myself. Buy a new, correct gauge, and if your faceplate on the old gauge is in good condition (I have a couple like that), pull the front glass and replace the faceplate, using the new gauge body and guts.
I am also going to connect with a couple of restoration leads I have that work on temp gauges and put new capilary tubes on existing gauges, and recalibrate them.

ps. I have bought a few guages of of OEM. They function great, but the faces are close, but no cigar. food for thought.
