Pete the liftall belly pump is the hydraulic pump that runs off a countershaft from the transmission. Sorry for any confusion. About the only real problems with the liftalls is that the drive shaft seal gets to leaking or the main gasket blows in the housing. Those are easy fixes. The pumps will wear with time but can be rebuilt without too much difficulty. They are clutch driven so when you depress the clutch it quits working. Cultivators, after market 3 points, front end loaders and sickle mowers with a lifting piston were common implements on an H.
