I have thought about this some more and If you don't need draft control, maybe a saginaw hitch would be an easy option.
I also looked on caseih parts site for you. Lift cylinder housing is same part number between utility and Farmall models of both 404 and 504. part number 389524R91 "HOUSING ASSY, hyd lift."
The differences I feel are going to be the cat 1 vs cat 2 arms and the lift arm anchors. 504 and 404s had toplink draft sensing, so everything is just about contained in that lift housing. the 544 IH utility still used toplink sensing, so don't overlook that one as a possibility.
A little research goes a long way, and there's more to do to find out for sure what works, and any additional pumps or valving that would be needed for the 3 point. Some universal farm store parts may work for the external parts too.
this is pure guessing: being the 404 is derived from the C, it's possible the fast hitch from a 240/230 (and then probably 200 and super C although they were smaller pronged) would still bolt up, then you'd just add the 3 point adapter prongs and stock 404 toplink bracket. Find another IH remote valve you can dedicate to the hitch and away you go. To prove my fast hitch theory you'll be on your own in junkyards with a notepad, tape measure, and cardboard templates.
