I lift a 9" hay bind with my M and it has a a lot of hose. The hydraulics on my M is no where as good as on my H. If you have enough oil you may want to try a heavier oil. The book says 30wt but a lot of guys use Hytran. Hydraulic oil, if it gets hot won't lift anything - I found that out with my H plowing short fields. Dealer once told me to put 40 wt in my M if the 30wt didn't work well.
