Weld a 6 foot chunk of 5" I beam to the stub facing backwards such that the end is 2 feet off the ground. Jack on the end, twisting the axle in the tube. Tremendous force is applied this way. Wedge as Allan indicates. Heat and a few raps with a medium sledge on the end (toward the tractor) and it will be loose! Jim
