Thank all of you for the help. I replaced the top of the range box and the tractor has"t shifted this smooth in years. In the book there are no instructions on reassembly other than to manipulate the cover into place. WOW such detail!!!!????. If you want to make it easy, pray for luck. I finally tried placing the box in high range and with two of us shaking and poking and pushing and cursing and wiggling the levers and pinching fingers it suddenly fell right into place. I bolted the top on and tried it. Dang it,, it worked. Thank the Lord above, because I couldn"t have taken anymore. But as I said you all were right about the top being the problem. Thanks so much.
