For those of you following my 560 project, thought you would like this picture. Best I can tell this around 1983 ish.
In high school we did repaint the tractor, and until now it was used on the farm.
Best effort is being made to get it to my up coming wedding Sept 24th, BUT looks like my quest to have one of the best looking 560's might cause it NOT to attend, which is too bad. But we'll see, we want it to be right. It seems we just keep going farther and farther.... latest is fuel tank, starter, generator removed, ha ha. Plus there are boxes of new parts waiting, all wiring, hoses (water & hyd), emblems, hood hardware, seat, plugs, coil, distributor , carb redone, guages, etc etc etc etc Oh and entire tractor will have professional quality paint with clear coat. Hoods and fenders are getting the REAL treatment.
Like many of these projects, there is more to the story. In july of 2010 my dad passed away by surprise and the month before we were talking about restoring this 560 to something REALLY nice. Needless to say Im doing this...
Planning to bring it to RPRU in 2012 and share it.
I do want to thank EVERYONE for all the comments during my project, Oh and I am sure there will be more.
Sincerely, Chad

The discussion started out with the following post: "I have an aluminum steering gear housing with a bolt broken off in it. The bolt is about a 3/8" x 1 1/2" bolt. I've already drilled the center of the bolt out with about 7/64" drill bit the entire length of the bolt. Only one end of the bolt is visible. I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
