Sounds like fuel supply to me .Check filter screen both at bottom of tank and screen into carb ( if it has one ) You need a good flow of fuel by gravity to carb. If you have an inline filter get rid of it , it will not let enough fuel flow to carb. Check float in carb . One trick I do in unscrew the plug at the bottom of the carb. Let the gas run out and see how much of a flow I have there .I have taken a fine wire and run up into carb and lifted the float to shut off fuel flow .JI ggle that several times to make sure there is no small piece of trash there .
