Greetings folks. I just brought home a new-to-me '58 340U in pretty good shape. Had a couple of small leaks and today developed a large leak at the top of the steering.
From what I gather this power steering is hydraulic driven so I'm sure I'm safe in assuming this is a blown seal. Its really pouring from the steering shaft cover, but I was really working the FEL at the time. I'll get to pulling the thing apart on my next day off. if anyone has tips on the project they'd be greatly appreciated.

This thing is bone dry on inspection but pristine inside with no residue. I bought an I&T manual but that thing is nearly worthless for a lot of this stuff, covering so many models and options.
