My 685 was leaking oil out the main seal on the brake master cylinder. I pulled the master cylinder and began a rebuild. All went well except for the main seal on the piston. The seal appear to big on the OD. I was able to get the seal in past the snap ring groove, but it started getting tight when it had to ride up the taper and into the bore. I finally tapped the plunger and seal in, and it sheared off a piece of the seal when the plunger went into the bore. The plunger was that tight on the bore, that the spring wouldnt return the plunger. I was finally able to use air to pop the piston out. I looked online, and there appears to be two different rebuild kits, one for with cab, and one for without. Is it possible the bore of the master cylinder is different? Anyone know where I can get just the seal? Case wants $45 for a "kit" Thanks
