You can buy new replacement actuating assemblies now. I have replaced the ones on both my SH and SM with new they were better than ever! They are about $160 each...there are some on eBay and this website also sells them. Do a google search for "farmall brake actuating assembly" and you can probably find 100 other places that are selling them too.
