fast hitch was IH's attempt at building a quick-attach system for mounted (think 3pt hitch style) implements like plows and blades.
Fast hitch had prongs mounted on the implement, and a special lift on the tractor. The idea was all you had to do was back into the implement, lift, and drive away. It works much better in theory than practice, but it is still less stressful than struggling with a 3pt hitch.
