My 1st vehicle was a '51 Chevy PU. While the frames are similar, the Chevy generator was different from the Farmall: 2-brush design vs the Farmall's 3-brush, and the Chevy had a higher output rating (30? amps vs Farmall 15). Also the regulators are entirely different on account of the 2-brush vs 3-brush designs.

HOWEVER it is entirely possible to put the Chevy generator onto a Farmall. Just make sure you use the matching Chevy regulator. And good idea to use a gen pulley with a fan on it - otherwise the Chevy gen may overheat.
