I don't want to be a party pooper, but I'd suggest a Delco alternator, and conversion to 12Volts. I guarantee, you'll have a more useable tractor, with great lights and much easier starting. Its easy to do on a C---versus the super C----water pump makes the mounting hard, and if you paint the alternator, you'll hardly notice thats its not original. I've done the conversion with an generator from a 460 to a super C....you've got to cut the pulley off to make the belt line up properly, but it will definately work. you'll have to make a mount to put the regulator under the generator instead of mounted on it. (I also went to 12V when I did this) The nice thing about the generators is that they are keyed so, you can put the C pulley on easily...However....I'd still say...the alternator has got it beat---hands down.

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
