On the Super C the seal for the bull pinion shaft is housed in a separate carrier which fits inside the bearing quill. You only need to remove the outer flange which contains the seal. There is an "O" ring on the boss of the carrier which may cause some resistance when levering them out. It is six years since I renewed the seals on my tractor but don"t remember experiencing any difficulty in removing the carriers. Sid.
