They are not marked, but as I said above they came in different ranges. You have to look at the part number stamped on the gauge (and hope that OEM got it right). If an oil pressure gage it shold show reduced pressure when idling as opposed to full rpm. If you have the correct gauge according to the part number on the gauge and it does not move at all, then and only then will I blame the gauge. I do have a non colored oil pressure gauge on an H that does that. It is definitely either not working right or the wrong range.
