(3) Had a fellow co-worker lose his life when inflating a rear tire assembly for an 8N Ford...it TOOK HIS FACE OFF...and a year later his widow took her own life. I say that that one tire took the life of two people. He was a very careful, considerate tire technician,and NOBODY knows what happened. No ether used...tire had a new tube.
(4) You were LUCKY
I do NOT stand in front of a tire being aired up. I do NOT start inflating a tire if it is laying flat...the full force of explosion is straight up!!...and I &^%$% SURE don't use ETHER or gasoline, or any other type of explosive!
