The B-450 was the only British (B) tractor ever imported to the USA in the Farmall version. It was imported in both Farmall and International versions to Canada and the Farmall version only to the USA. The Farmall B-450 is a much larger tractor than the International B-414. The B-414 was available only in a International version which is a standard, wheel, or utility type tractor (called different things in different areas). All Farmalls were row crop type tractors. The International B-414 has either a 143.1 cu in gasoline engine or a 154 cu in diesel engine. Nebraska test 817 on the gasoline yielded 31.44 DBHP and 36.46 PTOHP. Test 827 on the diesel yielded 32.57 DBHP and 35.99 PTOHP. The shipping weight of the gasoline B-414 is 3600 lbs and the diesel is 3650 lbs.

The International B-414 is a lot more tractor than the Ford 8-N.

The 8-N has a 119.7 cu in engine and a shipping weight of 2410 lbs. In Nebraska test 393 the gasoline yielded 21.72 DBHP and 25.77 BHP. The gasoline was again tested in test 443 which yielded 21.95 DBHP and 26.19 BHP. The distilate version was tested in test 444 which yielded 18.79 DBHP and 21.87 BHP. (BHP is belt horse power which is the same as the later PTOHP for power take off horse power).

Parts for the International B-414 are still available from Case-IH but someone has mentioned they are probably discontinuning them since the last buy-out. However all parts are available from Mahindra which still builds basicly the same tractor today in several models. The B-414 is a very rugged tractor although the steering can get pretty sloppy with wear. It has live hydraulics and a dual clutch PTO which make it a very good operating tractor.
