I have a small farm in Western NY we have had a terrible wet fall and the corn fields are bad. We normally do not get cold enough weather to freeze the ground until late December or January, By then the deer will probably have destroyed most of a nice crop. We purchased a set of Arps half tracks for an "M". Originnally they were going to be just a novelty but now I am looking a little closer at them. They have very little signs of wear on them. My question is does any one have any experience actually using these things? I have about 6 acres of field corn that I want to pull a one row picker and gravity box through. Sorry about the spelling any advice would be helpful.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
