Left side of engine crankcase are two oil level petcocks. Use the upper one to check the oil level. Oil should just barely come out there. If not, open bottom petcock. If it doesn't come out there, close bottom petcock, open top petcock then add oil thru fillpipe on top of hood until oil just starts to come out top petcock. The inverted plug to the left of the gearshift is for adding oil to transmission housing. Plug on right side at axle level is level check point. There's also a fill and drain point for pto housing. On front end, there are fill and drain plugs for the steering pedestal. Very important: there is a small vent plug to the left side of the fill plug. It has a very small hole for venting and I'll assure you it is plugged shut. It definitely will need to be cleaned and opened. Drain, flush and refill all of these with gear oil in trans and pedestal & motor oil in crankcase. You won't believe what you will get out of some of these old tractors when you drain them as hardly any of them were properly maintained. I would bet you'll find what I found in five of them: the fluid in the front pedestal and in the transmission had never been changed from the factory (50-years old!). In one of the five I even doubted if the engine oil had ever been changed.
