I made a snowplow for my cub last fall and it pushed a pretty fair amount of snow. I ran braces back to the clutch housing bolts, and also to the drawbar. I also made the blade so it would trip if it hit something hard. Years ago my uncle had ablade on his cub, which was hooked only to the rear axle housings. He hit something on the sidewalk in 3rd gear, and snapped of both axle housings! He decided it was time to put a spring trip on the blade then.
