Well i bought 15 gal of xtreme hydraulic/transmission fluid today (they were on sale for $33/5g) said its a replacement for ihc hytrans. i also got my manual to see how to adjust disassemble the draft and drop valves etc should it come to that. I also ordered the allied precision larger filter kit and an extra filter. i will be draining everything later today and removing old filter and inspecting everything. manual says to crank over with coil wire off to pump extra fluid out too.
Hopefully i will get lucky and new fluid and filter will fix problem, if not i will remove draft and cylinder plate and start working there. never messed with one before so hopefully i wont mess it up.
also the manual said in the fluid capacities chart 2qts in the pto clutch. Is this area separate from the transmission, hydraulics and power steering or is it all a common resivoir? pto works fine although i havent hooked anything to it but i would like to get fresh fluids everywhere i can before i start using this tractor and trying to locate problems.
