Why bother?
A planetary IPTO was sold this evening for $33 on eBay. There was no indication that it was a failed unit but the seller (marty2374) is an airhead and probably wouldn't know anyway.
I'm thinking that you could purchase alot of those units for the price of new or relined bands. Most wiil be serviceable. Also think of the savings in labor and the purchase of special tools.
