Todd...I bought a set of "cut to fit" wires from NAPA for my Farmall 140 and have been very happy with them. I had never made my own before and it was very easy and straightforward. As far as knowing how long to make them, I used the old ones as a pattern and then added an inch (the old ones seemed just a bit short and stretched). One tip I would give is to lay out each wire with the ends and boots to make sure you use the correct boot for the correct wire. One boot in the NAPA set (for my 4 cyl) was slightly different and it was for the center of the distributor. If I hadn't caught that fact I probably would have put it on the wrong length of wire and then would have wasted a set.
