If I understand your question, you want to know how the chains that are already on the mower are supposed to attach to the front rockshaft. Ideally there should be some hardware that come with the mower to mount on the rockshafts that the chains attach to. Call them if you need the hardware...have them send a manual while you are at it. I used a U shaped chain link through the hole on the rockshaft because I didn't have the right hardware...it works fine... Regards...BB
