Been going through a 560 that been setting for about ten years. Got almost everything fixed, but steering is hard both directions. Checked pressure, and have about 900psi full left, and maybe 1-200 at full right.I am thinking that staked nut may have come loose up in the valve in the front bolster. I know pressure is a bit low, but it should be equal both ways, right?
Jacked the front end up, and it turns easily with no binding, so I'm pretty sure I have a hydraulic problem.
Been almost 20 years since I last had one of the steer valves apart...anything to remember? Any other diagnostic thoughts? I'd like to confirm my suspicions before tearing tnto things.
Posted this about a month back, with no replies.....been to busy to work on it, so thought I'd try again here.
