got up this am and did my chores, and then decided to put the tractor thru it's paces.. drove around for about an hour all over the farm and neighborhood, 4th gear is nice, no steering shimmy..
figured out I had the ammeter wires swapped side to side, fixed that.. overfilled the rad.. guess you don't fill em to the top of the cap :) so it spit out about an inch and then quit spitting.
adjusted alt belt and tensioner a bit.. it's more happy now.
as I was parking i noticed ahiss beside the valve stem of the fronttire.
as you guys know this one has those
T125 70 D15 car 'maypop' tires on it's front, evidentally being run with tubes, as the valve stems look like tube stems.
I bet it's gonna be fun taking them tires off as the rims don't have centers, so i can't put em in my tire machine...
in any case.. the fronts are dry and i'm sure to tear one taking them off to repair er.. repalce the tubes.
so.. what size tubes for them lil rims, and what size tires you guys running?
thanks
ps.. I take it it isnormal for the first start of the day for the machine to want about half choke for about 30 seconds, then ok with no choke after that.. and subsequent starts once warmed, no choke.. etc?
