I was cutting hay with my fathers Farmall H equipped with a John deere #5 sickle mower all alone at least by the age of 9 or 10 and had spent several hours doing that same job at a much younger age, but with dad riding along teaching me what I needed to know. I'm sure I was short enough at 9 years old that I was probably setting on the forward edge of the seat so my legs could reach the clutch and brake pedals. Learning to drive a car will be second nature to anyone who grew up driving a farm tractor.
