I have a Super C with a tired c-123. I bought a good c-153. What will have to be changed in order to install the 153 in this tractor. I want to use it as I have for the past several years maintaining and cultivating my 2 acre garden and spraying my fruit orchard. Am I messing up by changing engines? I bought the 153 for a lot less than I can buy the parts to re-build the 123 and the 153 seem to be in great shape. In fact judging from the appearance of the gaskets I think it has not been many hours since it was re-built.The compression checks as it should and I cranked it on the stand and it runs perfect with no blow by and good oil pressure hot at idle speed. Will the transmission be OK. I have seen some in adds here with 153's used for pulling so I guess the transmission will be ok. Does anyone know if the hydrolich pump off the 123 will work on the 153? I t looks like it will bolt up . Will the Super C radiator cool the 153?
