I finally got around to tearing into the Super A I bought earlier this year. It ran good with moderate power and no smoke but it was a little low on oil pressure. Everything looked good until I started to take the main caps off the crankshaft. I found the number two cap was broken. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement? My machine shop said they can fit another cap to my block.
I also found a bent crankshaft and one bent connecting rod. Luckily I have replacements for those parts. My guess is that it was frozen up at one time and someone forced it loose.
