When tractors or combines are parked it has been my assumption that all loaders, backhoe buckets, three point hitch mounted equipment, and combine headers should be grounded as part of the parking protocol. When you are in a gravel or sand pit you find that buckets and other equipment are grounded and wheels are chocked when parked. Even pickups and other company cars will have chocks on one wheel. Bottom line: be safe and set supported equipment on the ground or use transport locks when parking equipment. When transporting equipment use the transport locks but do not retract hyd. cylinders in case the transport locks fail. Armand
