On the 2 IH diesels that I have had expierience with over the years, a new 886 and a 706 with 5500+ hours on it, they both smoked the same amount out of the breather tubes. It makes you wonder, but never gave any problems, and the dealer always told us it was "normal" for these engines. Was worse in winter and under load.
