It's not only a problem with Case/IH parts, costs have risen dramatically on everything over the past 5 years. My jobber wants $7 a piece for Champion W20 spark plugs. I told him to forget it, I'll buy them from Rice's for $5.

With most large manufacturers there is a 40% markup between dealer cost and full list price.
With many automotive parts jobs going to Mexico some years ago, prices were OK for a while, but now volumes for old model parts are low and
prices are HIGH. The only way out is to find someone who can produce them cheaper. Even that is no gaurantee the savings will be passed on to you. Manufacturers pay their own salaries and overhead costs first, take some as profit, and pass all costs on to you, the customer. It seems like a racket.
