I would do a cyl pressure leak test to see if it is leaking internally. It has become more and more of a problem it seems with the sleeve flange height being too high with all the aftermarket sleeves. If you look at the shape of the head gasket you will note it follows the contour of the combustion chamber, not the sleeve flange, so there fore it crosses the flange in four spots and will leave a gap too large for gasket to compress if sleeve flange is too high.I personally like them to be no more than .002 but .004 should work. Friend had a 300 last year, had .008 and it leaked immediately. A pressure test will give you peace of mind if it checks ok or tell you tear down is needed.
