I think you are correct in saying its a replacement block, the cam gear number is the curious part, that number is for a C-Super C-240, is this stamped on it or where did you find this number. All the cam gears & cams for the engines are press fit key way drive, they changed the retaining nut to left hand thread to counteract the rotation so they wouldnt come loose, they had to do this for the added load when they went to live hydraulics cam driven.
