The track pins and rollers wear on the drive side and the wear is easily seen where the drive sprocket touches the rollers. The teeth of the drive sprocket should not be pointy, they should look symetrical. Lift it off the bogies and see if they are loose on their shafts. If it is a cable operated system it is scrap price only, they are difficult at best, and a pain to operate with no down pressure. The biggest issue other than tacks is the condition of the master clutch, steering clutches and brakes. These cannot be checked W/O running it! Remember scrap price is pretty high on this iron, and the transportation costs are serious. Do you have a need? Really! That serious!~!!? OK do it.
