I have an H converted to 12V with magneto ignition that I have been hand cranking for the past 8 months or so since the alternator quit, and now that winter is here I am thinking that it would be a fine thing to be able to use the starter. The battery is a 2005 vintage Wal-Mart product that was on the tractor when I got it and I think it is time for a new one. I need to rewire the tractor and will be using the helpful diagram from this forum. I don't have a battery box so size is not an issue within reason. How big of a battery do I want to get for it, and are CCA ratings helpful or is there some other way to find the right thing? We occasionally have nights down to -25 F or so, but mostly it is no colder than 0. Any advice will be much appreciated. Zach
