THe front cover must be from a 19501 and a half or newer engine. The gears in your H engine are not up to the rigors of driving aLive pump. late H SH 300, 350, gears will be fine. Some modify the existing hole spacing and rethread the cover to make it work. Some even use the old weak gears. If they never get used for more than a cultivator, they might last. I would chang cover and gear. Jim
