Hello all,
I am rebuilding a 1941 Farmall H. My grandfather purchased this tractor brand new. Through many trials I was finally able to purchase the tractor and chasing down and engine knock. The center main bearing is melted, but not excessively damaged.
I am trying to remove the oil pump and cam, but find myself feeling pretty confused right now as neither will budge. Does the gear need to be pulled from the cam to get it out? And shouldn't the oil pump simply lift straight out of the block before once I removed the two retaining bolts?
Thank you in advance for your guidance. Have rebuilt several engines in my life, but the last was about 25+ years ago. Feeling a little challenged right now.
