?? I could clearly hear our H with the IH muffler from at least 1/2 mile--in the 50's. I don't know where this quiet stuff is coming from. Quiet compared to todays mufflers or through an open exhaust, yes. I am deaf from driving that tractor with a good muffler -- no one had heard of ear protection in those days. I really doubt if yours is the original muffler. It would have rusted out just sitting there.
