The original DelcoRemy generator from the parted H is now disassembled on the floor... what a mess of red dust. The brushes and commutator bars are hardly worn, but the wire from the field is now bare of insulation. How should I re-insulate the wire, or do I need to? Also, the armature is quite rusty where it touches the pole shoe. Can this be safely cleaned? Where should I touch the positive and negative jumpers for testing. It's going on a '40 B if I can find a fan and generator pulley combo.
