If you truly want to get rid of them regardless of how much they bring, then advertise them through proper channels and price them cheap.
Running and driving they will sell in minutes at $1000 each. You get twice as much money as you would for scrap, and you don't have to lift a finger!
If they were mine I'd paint them and keep them, but for you, I recommend craigslist. It's easy, relatively safe compared to other forms of selling (i.e. ebay) and FREE.
Just don't be stupid about dealing with the buyer... Only accept CASH in person. First person to show up with a stack of $100's gets the prize.
