The packing is a graphite impregnated cotton material. A new packing SHOULD have been included in the complete kit. It looks kind of like a shiny black pellet. I have a few packings on hand, but hesitate to sell or ship just the packing because they are quite fragile. Others will tell you to use some teflon tape or nylon packing string, but I have opened up far too many carburetors that were seriously leaking from the adjustment screw and I found that a substitute for the real packing had been used, and it DID NOT seal up.
