Sounds like a good deal.. Usually with mags the condenser goes bad, and all you have is a weak or intermittent spark. one thing I would suggest is to check the coil to see if the date is marked on it.. If it is an early coil with the a soldered ground wire the date will be stamped in yellow. if the ground is a metal tab, the date of the coil will be stamped on the ground tab. If you have any more troubles with the mag, push on the coil and see if it is spongy. If so it is in the process of failing..
