This hitachi has internal reglator and starts charging at low speed. I like that its only 30 something amps since I only have original type lights and the charging to handle. Got carried away on the mounting so I could remove a bolt from each end and slide it off the lower mount. Have 1/4 inch clearance between engine and alternator. Enough between body and hood for more adjustment.
