I like clean installs though. Don't like getting hung up on stuff in the way. My dad is 70 now and I'm more sensitive to his needs--some days just climbing onto a plain letter series can be too much for him (he's stubborn though). I have thought about replacing the seat box with a lift cylinder, rockshaft, and arms. It would be cool if something original IH could be made to work, such as a Cub's touch control box--especially since it has position control like more contemporary tractors--but I think the cylinder size may be a weak point in this case to make the geometry and function standard.
Another IH parts option would be to see what the French C relative had but those parts are not common here. Would probably end up making something
