Thanks to the help of Janicholson and LJD and others I now have re-wired my H, rebuilt my Delco 10SI alternator and have an actual charging system that works. I got a kit for the 10SI off ebay for $12.95 that had the VR, diodes and brushes and put them in and it seems now to be working fine. I only ran the tractor for a few minutes, but when I flipped the switch the ammeter showed a charge and when I checked the voltage it showed over 14 volts. When I turned the lights on the battery voltage showed around 12.8, I hope that is normal and is because the lights are taking the rest of the power but I don't know. Now I am going to buy a complete rebuild kit and fix a 10SI that was on a parts tractor and is full of wasp parts. That way I will have a spare. I had no idea how easy it is to work on them till I asked a few weeks ago. Zach
