I was driving a Chevy C-50 Bobtail loaded with feedsacks outside of Lubbock on a Sunday night. The starter fell off from under the truck and ripped a bunch of wires in the process. I got a tow truck to give me a push and could still drive it, but when I put the headlights on, it would kill the motor. I drove 50 miles in the middle of nowhere with a lantern flashlight shining onto the center stripe till I got home! (there wasn't any other car in sight all that time)
